Divorce and Life Transitions

We at ETHOS take you through an easy to follow process to educate and empower you in which steps to take next -- before, during and after divorce. We help you organize your financial information and understand your options so you can make informed decisions about key areas -- such as asset division -- and potentially avoid costly mistakes. We help you answer the question “Am I going to be okay?" with a clear vision of your financial future. Post-divorce, we help you set and implement goals and strategies, manage your assets, and provide protections for your short, mid and long-term financial needs.

We are actively involved in many community organizations that provide resources and education to those going through the separation and divorce process. We are passionate about helping people through this process as we understand it can be overwhelming and isolating.

Below, please find the events that our team members participate in on a regular basis. Please let us know if you have any questions or would like any further information by emailing ssteer@centinelfg.com.

Divorce Retreats*
Our team members participate as guest speakers in local Divorce Retreats. This comprehensive event is filled with crucial information about divorce, including legal, financial, real estate, mortgage/credit, parenting, coping strategies and more. The capstone of the retreat is one-on-one meetings with the professionals to review your individual situation. There will also be some fun, pampering and relaxation built into the retreats. You will meet new friends facing similar situations, and you will leave feeling more empowered and relaxed than when you arrived.

Divorce Resource Nights*
We attend monthly Divorce Resource Nights hosted by local support newtoworks to connect one-on-one with each attendee. The resource nights allow you the opportunity to meet with each or all of the professionals within the network representing the many different aspects of divorce in a relaxed atmosphere. The professionals will introduce themselves and then you will have the opportunity to have individual, confidential conversations with any of the professionals, and to connect with others in similar situations. Divorce Resource Nights are hosted monthly in each location.

Divorce Boot Camps*
We participate as guest speakers in Divorce Boot Camps hosted in our community. Offered in Boston, Andover and Norwood, MA, attendees learn about the finer points of the process — from law and finance, to wellness and coping strategies — so you understand the impact of divorce both now and in your future. Four professionals will cover how to manage the legal, financial, real estate and personal issues involved with divorce. A brief presentation from each speaker will be followed by a question and answer segment. The speakers and other professionals will be available to answer your individual questions.

Divorce Workshops*
Several times each month, the professionals in our local support network sponsor divorce workshops led by select experts who share their knowledge on specific areas of divorce and self-care. Our team members participate as guest speakers at the workshops focused on the financial aspects of divorce. Since divorce is a complex experience, no issue is dealt with in isolation. Therefore, many of the professionals attend each workshop to provide you with a comprehensive perspective. Most workshops are held in the evening in the Greater Boston and Rhode Island areas. The speaker(s) and other professionals are also available to answer your individual questions after the presentations.
